Painted toddler toes.
A mini M&M color-sorting activity.
Brownies, made from a box (that's a big deal in my "scratch-only" kitchen).
Encouraging artistry. She's a natural! ... I'm obligated to say that as a parent, right? In all seriousness, I loved watching the precision with which she painted. How she carefully selected each color, and made it very clear to me that she only wanted to paint "the top of the horse." And maybe it's just my 'mommy goggles,' but I think the finished product is pretty fabulous. There's definitely going to be a place in the master bedroom or new baby's nursery for Maile's rainbow-colored piece.
As fall leans ever closer to winter, I feel as though maybe I should have more time to blog, but seem to have less to blog about, which is just fine (you'll see I've updated my Sponsor page; I want to keep this space as simple as possible). We're spending more time indoors. More snuggles, more books, more dance parties (Maile's current favorite is Roar, by Katy Perry, but she also insists on doing a ballet-like routine to Clair de Lune every night before bed, and I'm more than happy to be her audience.)
It's almost Halloween! What fun plans do you have? I can't wait to see all the pictures and posts of your little ones decked out.
